Ingredients:
- π₯₯ 2 cups grated coconut (fresh or desiccated)
- π₯ 1 cup condensed milk
- πΆ 1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
- π§ A pinch of cardamom powder
- π° Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1 . Prepare the Base:
- Heat a pan on medium flame and add 1 tbsp of ghee. Once the ghee melts, add the grated coconut and sautΓ© for 2-3 minutes until it’s aromatic.
2 . Mix in the Sweetness:
- Pour in the condensed milk and stir continuously. The mixture will start to thicken. Keep stirring to avoid sticking.
3 . Flavor with Cardamom:
- Add a pinch of cardamom powder to the mixture for that lovely fragrant flavor. Continue to cook until the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.
4 . Set the Barfi:
- Grease a plate or tray with a little ghee and spread the mixture evenly on it. Smooth the surface with a spatula. You can also add chopped nuts on top for an extra crunch!
5 . Let it Cool:
- Allow the mixture to cool for about 30 minutes, or until it’s set. Once firm, cut it into square or diamond-shaped pieces.
6 . Serve and Enjoy:
