π©βπ³ Instructions
1. Prepare the Marinade
- In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of oil, 2 tablespoons of ginger-garlic paste, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, and salt to taste. Add smoked paprika if using.
2. Marinate the Paneer
- Add the paneer cubes to the marinade, making sure they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for more flavor).
3. Prepare the Skewers
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated paneer cubes onto the skewers, alternating with chunks of bell pepper and onion.
4. Grill the Paneer Tikka
- Preheat your grill or oven to 200Β°C (400Β°F). If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat.
- Brush the skewers with a little oil.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is slightly charred and cooked through. In an oven, bake the skewers on a baking sheet for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
5. Serve
Serve the Paneer Tikka hot, garnished with lemon wedges and fresh cilantro. Enjoy with mint chutney or yogurt sauce.
